The mission of The Children's Course is to provide and maintain a facility with the primary focus of providing children, particularly underprivileged, at-risk, low-to-moderate income, and special needs youth, the opportunity to participate in educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

The Children's Course is a chapter of The First Tee called The First Tee of Greater Portland.  Through The First Tee of Greater Portland, we offer classes for children at The Children's Course and Heron Lakes Golf Course.  Click on the programs and instruction tab to sign up for camps, classes and clinics!

About The First Tee of Greater Portland:

With one in four students dropping out of public high schools, the need for quality youth programs that include adult mentors and safe places for young people is critical. The First Tee is a solution to the ever-growing problems facing today’s youth. The First Tee Campaign for 10 Million Young People seeks to raise funding to reach an additional 10 million young people between 2011-2017. As part of the Campaign, The First Tee of Greater Portland will contribute to this ambitious goal by reaching 1,000 more young people in greater Portland by 2013.
